How does this work?

Greater Shepparton Connected Community is a partnership between Bendigo Bank Shepparton and a board made up of local community members. When Bendigo Bank customers 'tag' their accounts as a Connected Community account, the Bendigo Bank pays an ongoing commission to the Greater Shepparton Connected Community account.

This commission is completely separate from customer banking and in no way impacts the account owners funds in the bank. The money that is paid to the Greater Shepparton Connected Community account is then distributed to community groups who apply for funding via the grant application process.

The more accounts ‘tagged’ results in more funds being available to distribute to community groups.

Tag your every day accounts, savings, home loans and credit cards. Not-for-profit organisations can tag their accounts too.

Supporting the community.

"By connecting my accounts to the Greater Shepparton Connected Community fund I am supporting important groups in my community, ensuring funds will continue to be generated, yet I am not required to personally outlay any money. It's such an easy way for me to give back."

— Jon, Shepparton Resident.

It is the Greater Shepparton Connected Community Board that determines the success of grant applications via a stringent review process that includes analysis of the positive impact the grant will have on the general community, timelines for grant activities to occur and the likelihood of additional funding goals being achieved.
